The Internet and 3W

For today I would like to share about ‘The Internet and 3W which stands for Worldwide Web”, which will be our topic for this. Before all the explanation and sharing knowledge session, lets watch a short video entitle “What is the world wide web?” So here we go!

Week 6 ( Reflection Journal )..

Academic Software for Mathematics Learning..


Hello Everyone,

       I am really excited to share what we have learned for this week. As the title above, today’s topic was about Academic Software for Mathematics Learning. It is an interesting topic because, it briefs on who we, the future teachers to be can implement the academic software in teaching and learning for our students. Instructive programming is PC programming, the main role of which is instructing or self-learning.



      Next, we learned about the cases of instructive programming which are Courseware and Edutainment.         Apart from that, we also learned the about the “Periodic table of educational technology tools’ which is structured using trouble-free graphics.





          Implantation of academic software in education results a great feedback and the level of adaptation towards it among students increases as the same time. For an example, familiar as this assignment, we were required to create our own blogs for the subject ‘Pedagogy in Education’ in our 3th semester. It was difficult to adapt the functions and the ways to create and make use of our blogs. But as time goes on, blogging was a piece of cake for us. Not forgetting that, when we were assigned with this assignment, creating a blog and blogging weekly was not as difficult as it was.
       All this improvement and usage of software was easy due to the exposure that we had before. Academic software’s has its own advantages in certain ways.



     
      There are some disadvantages when comes to educational software such as,  the software should be deliberately picked keeping in mind the end goal to guarantee that what is holding your kid's consideration is likewise instructing them in the meantime. Hence, some software doesn't make it evident that it has no instructive esteem. It is uncommon to discover a school that has enough PCs for each understudy, along these lines booking can end up noticeably risky.

Hi everyone,

    I am Jeeveswarry Ragaven .  It is me, like a sky on a clear sunny day in the profile picture. I am a 21 years old girl, who was born on the 17th of the month of love in the year 1996. I was born and raised in Penang which is the well known state of Malaysia for food.


     I am girl who loves to spend my time by improving my dancing and singing skills and i love to watch movies and cartoons. Especially my favourite cartoon character will be the yellow guy (SpongeBob squarepants) and so far I have perform approximately 10 dancing performances during family functions and special events.

    Bachelors of Education in UNITAR will be the course which I am engaged with. It will be my childhood dream to become a tutor/ lecture, and the level of initiative increases when those beautiful ladies stepped into my life as my teachers such as teacher Vanidha, Prema, Nur Farhana, Nur Jamilah, and kala. Their passion, determination and involvement level towards their profession has no words to describe.

    Form them I have learned that, a teacher can shape a student for a great betterment without considering the students family background and without expecting anything in return except for their success in life. A teacher doesn’t only teach, they keep learning more and more to fulfil their student’s needs.



    As a future teacher, the philosophy that I would emphasize more will be on Progressivism. It because as a teacher I need to be crystal clear with my objectives which will be, what I really wants my students to learn and practice as betterment for their living. By injecting progressivism in my pedagogy skills, I can observe my students and also mine from time to time which will create an effective learning phenomena in the classroom.

     The goals that I would love to achieve are firstly, once I am graduated as a teacher, I will proceed with my Master’s degree (MA. TESOL) to enhance my knowledge more based on this field. Secondly, I would prefer to teach students with special needs. It is because I personally believe that more scaffolding is needed to students with special needs compared to other students.

     I will emphasize on that because I have more experiences based on it since I have couple of family members who have disability in themselves.  Helping such students to develop themselves will bring more satisfaction in a teacher’s life. I also believe that by adapting knowledge from this subject called technology and math education, I will be able to learn more interesting ways to conduct lessons in the future by incorporate technology in education.

    Technology is important as the involvement of technology in education can help the instructors / teachers to personalize the education experience. It is because technology in teaching enhances the education level. With the help of website, apps, learning games, e-book and virtual tutoring students can obtain more knowledge in an adequate manner.

     Thus, it is student preferences. In 21st century of teaching and learning process, gadgets have a vital role to gain knowledge. Most school or college students prefer to integrate technology in their daily curriculum basis. It is because they are used to browse and find information as to add on their knowledge with the help of technology and gadgets. Moreover, a survey shows that 54% of students will use minimum of 2 gadgets to accomplish their school/ college work.

    Hence, technology trend towards blended learning environment. A survey shows that 75% of students currently have experience in blended online learning. This way is welcomed and liked by students and also the institutions. As they can make sure that their students can have unlimited access to their learning materials with the help of e-textbook and more. Apart from that, blended learning environment support online submission and cut down the expenses cost on paper, which contributes to save the environment in a way.

    Furthermore, teachers support technology in classroom. According to a current survey among teachers 74% of them agreed to reinforce technology in their daily lessons. They have stated that, technology in classroom never prosper without the h teachers’ support. On other hand, from kindergarten to middle school teachers of 78% agrees that “technology in lesson has a positive impact”. The above data collection is in current era, as for future without technology life will become complicated and miserable.
