Week 6 ( Reflection Journal )..

Academic Software for Mathematics Learning..


Hello Everyone,

       I am really excited to share what we have learned for this week. As the title above, today’s topic was about Academic Software for Mathematics Learning. It is an interesting topic because, it briefs on who we, the future teachers to be can implement the academic software in teaching and learning for our students. Instructive programming is PC programming, the main role of which is instructing or self-learning.



      Next, we learned about the cases of instructive programming which are Courseware and Edutainment. Its significance initially was utilized to depict extra instructive material expected as units for educators or coaches or as instructional exercises for understudies, typically bundled for use with a PC.
    Meanwhile, edutainment in a more extensive sense, the term edutainment depicts a purposeful merger of PC recreations and instructive programming into a solitary item and it also could lines likewise involve more genuine titles portrayed above under kids' learning programming.

     As for the “Academic Software” there are various types of Software such as;

Ø  Writing Systems.

Ø  Desktop Publishing.

Ø  Illustrations Software.

Ø  Paint Programs.

Ø  Draw Programs.

Ø  Imaging Software.

Ø  Altering Software.

Ø  Critical thinking Software.


        Apart from that, we also learned the about the “Periodic table of educational technology tools’ which is structured using trouble-free graphics.





          Implantation of academic software in education results a great feedback and the level of adaptation towards it among students increases as the same time. For an example, familiar as this assignment, we were required to create our own blogs for the subject ‘Pedagogy in Education’ in our 3th semester. It was difficult to adapt the functions and the ways to create and make use of our blogs. But as time goes on, blogging was a piece of cake for us. Not forgetting that, when we were assigned with this assignment, creating a blog and blogging weekly was not as difficult as it was.
       All this improvement and usage of software was easy due to the exposure that we had before. Academic software’s has its own advantages in certain ways.



     
      There are some disadvantages when comes to educational software such as,  the software should be deliberately picked keeping in mind the end goal to guarantee that what is holding your kid's consideration is likewise instructing them in the meantime. Hence, some software doesn't make it evident that it has no instructive esteem. It is uncommon to discover a school that has enough PCs for each understudy, along these lines booking can end up noticeably risky.
         Furthermore, it is hard to stand out enough to be noticed at whatever point they are on the PC and strong skeletal wounds and vision issues can emerge at whatever point understudies invest excessively energy utilizing the PC. We do need to be aware of this when comes to academic software.

    1. Hello abhi, thank you for the wonderful question. As for the disadvantages of Academic Software, some schools have non sufficient Pcs, when a teacher command their students to share the Pcs to accomplish the task. Most of the time, the students will get easily distracted while searching for the resources. So as a teacher to be, we have to be aware of the links that 'pop' up. It is important to keep students on the right track while using software to gain knowledge.

Its meaning originally was used to describe additional educational material intended as kits for teachers or trainers or as tutorials for students, usually packaged for use with a computer.
